Of Course there are many ways escaping from routine activities at site. Instead of lazying all day watching Action Movies DVDs while munching peanuts in camp like I usually do, yesterday me and friends went to Pagimana. We started around 8 in the morning, using rented car. From Batui, we have to go to Luwuk first before going to Pagimana since there is a hills/mountain spanned from north-east until south-west where there is no available public road yet (see below map). If I had a Bell (helicopter) I would go directly from Batui then =D
We stopped for a while in a one-of-two famous minimarket in Luwuk named “Golden”. Bought potatoes chips, wafer, cold drinks and draw cash money from ATM machine.
The view is quite awesome here. Evergreen tress and yellow-green grass covered all terrain except the road and slash-burnt plantation field. Hills in our left while valley that directly slope down to open ocean located just in our right side. Of course we stopped for taking photographs. Especially the girls =D. With such a beautiful scenery, tourism could be a potential revenue from this area if the Local Government seriously develop the tourism sector as well the infrastructure such public road, traffic sign, lamp, public tourism centre etc. and maybe also soft loan for local businessman.
From this position we stood, we could capture the sea, hills, slope, valley, and the sky in a single picture. Thanks to Pak Choy for his DSLR. I heard that local people here give name for those hills: Teletubbies Hills. Hmmmh no wonder, little bit similar I think if you see Teletubbies’ hills in movies five years back.
we sang we chat we cheered we were happy despite terrible road condition. Then, 12:30 we arrived at Pagimana.
Hungry tummy need to be fed. So we directly searched for seafood restaurant and we wound this:
