Hotel Celebes, Manado : Cozy Hotel with Harbour View

When we were at Manado for Lebaran Holiday, we stayed here for 3 days and 2 nights. We chose this hotel because  :

1. Cheap, standard room only 210.000 per night. Suitable for us, travelling with a backpacker style and very limited budget.
2. The Location is very close to the port/harbour (5 minutes walk) that we will use to depart to Bunaken Island by speedboat.

Just arrived! after a tired 9 hours touring by car from Gorontalo

Lobby Hotel. Fish tank (aquarium) filled with unfortunately not so many fresh water fishes. The decoration is ordinary but it feels warm. With wooden table and chair seems they want to bring traditional nuance.

Beside Local tourist , I also saw many foreign backpacker stayed here at that time. They came from various country: Canada, Germany, US, etc

For me this standard room is large enough. Equipped with : TV, AC, Bed, and Hot Shower.

My Room : 211. This Hotel has 4 floor and of course there is a lift/elevator. Since my room is just next to the stairway, I always use this stair rather than the elevator.

I think the bed cover need to be re-wash 😦

I tried a small bowl of Tinutuan before snorkeling to Bunaken.

The famous Tinutuan for Breakfast. Tinutuan or bubur manado or manadonese porridge is a rice porridge mixed with various vegetables such as spinach, kangkung, corn, pumpkin and sweet potato or cassava. (definition from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tinutuan)

This hotel has rooms facing the bay. Those rooms have private balcony for enjoying beautiful sunset in Manado city.
